I went on the trip by my own in February of 2017.  That was my third time traveled to this incredible country, each time brings me different point of views. 

Couple months ago a photographer friend Kong Cheung reached me out,  he asked me if I am interested in providing my pictures to them for a local art show in Nanning. I said, of course, Nanning is my hometown, and I definitely wanna support our local culture. Right now, the constructions everywhere makes me just wanna say, slow down Nanning. The government doing their job for the Economic development, maybe they don't see any benefits of the culture protection yet. So right now, this is a big job for our generation,  protected our original culture.

​I happily gave away around 20 of my street photography as a tourist. The show turned out great, more than anyone could expect.  It was well known by majority people in Nanning, also gets lots attentions from all kinds of medias. Local newspapers reported it, also some publishing companies want to make books about that, and some other cities social medias reported this exhibition. And so on... 
Here are my personal opinions about why the show are successful:
1. Multiple art ​

To be honest, all those street photographs that I took in Nanning, initially wasn't really for any exhibitions or being famous. I just came back to China and everything seems too new for me, so I looked at everything through a tourist's eyes. Right now it's been 4 months staying in China, nothing is new for me, I probably can not see the same thing as I saw when I just came back.

I didn't get involved too much after that,  a thing could lose it's meaning when it comes to famous. I finished my mission by knowing majority people in Nanning are very concern about our own culture, either older or younger generations. Also, I hope the exhibition can encourage more photographer can go on the street to take pictures. I wish there are less and less people will say we are weird or have nothing to do when we are holding camera taking photos of the local lifestyles and buildings since Nanning is not a travel city.
