Just wanna say: First, believe or not, no matter who you are, grab whatever camera, when you walking in Yosemite, press your shutter, you can really get Apple desktop background. Second, don’t forget the most important thing , flirt with the animals as much as you can when you are at route one ,squirrels, seagulls, sea lions. Cause they won’t be that playful with you anymore when you come back to urban. (Just kidding, please respect animals)
When I was young I wasn't really a "landscapes person",I grew up in a crowded city, always people around. The only entertainment between me and my friends was eating, restaurant to restaurant, a mall to another mall. I have never had any experiences about camping or something like that in my childhood. After I grew up as a young girl, In my mind I thought that be in a modern big city, owe all the technology stuff is the coolest lifestyle. I used to be a girl like to take a selfie like to posted each tiny things about my life. Until I started to pick up a DSLR camera. I don't think the DSLR camera can change a person's life, there's are tons people who holding a very expensive camera and lenses but don't know what to do with it. But my camera actually changed my view for this world, I understood the real beauty is actually creatures and naturals combination. There's nothing you can"create" but capture, the camera is a wonderful invent, all you need to do is pay attention to the beauties that already created in this world, press your shutter. You don't need a fancy lighting set up and expensive equipment, you don't even need to care about those numbers in your camera.I feel like photography just a random feelings expressive. Express beauties and emotions from your heart through your eyes. I got inspired by the great travel videos people made online, every time I looked at it, I was extremely heart itched. The 2016 new year resolution for me is to be into the wild, so I planned a road trip to California, me and my friends rented a car from LA, drove route 5 to Yosemite- San Francisco- Route 1 back to LA. As you can see that was a fun and beautiful trip, I am glad I had my camera captured all the wonderful moments.

Photoshoot for Arthurchristine appeal that day. I work for Arthurchristin a lot, they are talented people, always have good eyes on people, I think I learned this from them a lot. Every time when I see a people either my friends or random people on the street, I can quickly tell him/her will looked good in my photo. I love people, people are always my favorite project. Cause everybody has their own stories, that's what's make them unique. I like to show the deep emotions through their eye contacts and body languages.
This time the Creative Director of Arthurchristin Dusan Grante picked this model Grace farrell, I have to said she's one of my favorite. Cause once sh face the camera she's totally giving out herself-her confident and always know how to show case her beauties. My most I like about Grace is her blue eyes can always telling story, each time I pressed the shutter she's always giving her determinedly eye contact, no doubt. I had great time shooting that day, even more surprised when I edited the photos. I love all the results and feel motivated. Last week got invited to W Washington for a fashion show. Lot's cool people there, got to exchange informations with other artists and agency. I am not really a social person but I know how important it is to let more people know your work. Nobody know who you are if you just holding your little camera quietly standing there. My little goal is, still focus on editing and shooting new materials, and find more way to let people know my works. I have to say if you like my works or hate it please don't be hesitate to show me, I will appreciate your time,Thanks! Dusan Grante is the visionary Creative Director of the Arthur Christine beauty and lifestyle brand. I would like to describe his as a OCD creative director, Don't get me wrong,if you know him you might agree with me. Cause his ideas are every second and everywhere, none stop.I think nobody can fit this job creative director better then him.
I have been work for Dusan and Rachel over a year, they are really nice people and they've helped me out a lot. They like to keep all the talent people around and help them out. Dusan has influence me a lot with fashion and style. He has different vision for this world, when he walk on the street he can immediately smells the beauty in the area. Whether when it comes to graphic design or videography/photography, work for him could be painful and helpful, cause he always focus on details faster then you, then you have to change it over again, but eventually you realized he was right you will always thanks him. I have done too many amazing works with him, even when I knew nothing he always believe me and do magic work and the proved that I can do that, and weird thing is even he's always focus on details but he never pick on my imperfectly results. That's how my work can be improved each time, cause I am the kind of people who doesn't like to be told what to do, cause I have a long to do list in my mind, I need to have freedom to get it out. Anyways I am still feeling grateful to be able to work with Dusan and Rachel, cheers! A short film about the emotions transformation from a heart broken separation. Everybody got hurt, It's painful at the beginning but it's eventually turning to forgiveness. I made this film just want to simply show this process. My idea at the beginning was just asking my friend Dani to come over do an outfit video and shoot some picture on the side. Dani is a pretty Brazilian girl has beautiful hair, she was a hair model for Arthur Christine before, Dusan was impressed by her hair he said she can be a good model for me do outfit video, I contacted her she's happy to do it as well. The day before we shoot the video I was sit down talking to Dusan I said I don't wanna the video just be a girl walking in there for no reason, I need some story in there. But a story can film in this limited environments we have, then we come out this script. There's are lots of acting, and Dani didn't have any experiences with acting, but after I explain the whole story she got it so quick and did really good at each part.
I filmed this video three months ago when I still had the canon T5i which is my first DSLR, I didn't really have much experience making a film, Didn't really know about cameras and lighting, I just had passions at video making and practice my editing skill. Even now I have a better camera and equipment, but as a photographer or videographer knows you can't never get works done by just keep shooting new materials without making time sit down editing. My computer has tons new clips and pictures but I still trying my best to finish all the materials I shot that way I can move on to my new projects. So the clips from my old canon T5i and few of it from Panasonic g7 is really a challenge with the color grading, and I also kind of give up on the color when I edited it. Hopefully it still enjoyable and thanks for watching! |
